December 2022 to November 2023
The Board of the Portuguese Society of Research in Mathematics Education proposes to develop the following activities during the period from December 2022 to November 2023:
- Preparation and realization of the Meeting of Research in Mathematics Education, EIEM 2023;
- Launch of the preparation of the Mathematics Education Research Meeting, EIEM 2024;
- Development of the research support programme;
- Propose the indexing, in WoS, of the EIEM Proceedings;
- Joint preparation of a SEIEM & SPIEM 2023 Summer School, with the Spanish counterpart society, aimed at young researchers developing their work in the field of Mathematics Education. The main objective is to contribute to the training of young researchers, and at the same time disseminate research results, create and strengthen links between senior researchers from both countries, and create a climate of collaboration between researchers from different universities in Spain and Portugal. This summer school is scheduled to take place in July 2023 in Portugal.
- Realization of the second edition of the Atlantic Webinars on research in Mathematics Education, with the reinforcement of the dialogue between Portuguese researchers;
- Continuation of the regular publication of the SPIEM newsletter, SPIEM NEWS nº2 and nº3, to be distributed to members (March and September);
- Boosting SPIEM's Facebook page;
- SPIEM's website development;
- Representation of SPIEM in the Scientific Council of the Institute for Educational Evaluation IAVE;
- SPIEM's representation in the Editorial Board of Quadrante Magazine;
- Development of collaboration with the nearest foreign counterpart organisations (SBEM & SEIEM);
- Elaboration of technical opinions about relevant documents for Mathematics Education, namely about the curricular reform in Mathematics announced by the Ministry of Education;
