The Portuguese Society of Mathematics Education Research — SPIEM — aims to promote the development of research in mathematics education through the exchange of ideas and experiences among people who are interested in this area.
SPIEM also seeks to contribute to the scientific and educational policies, issuing viewpoints whenever required. Furthermore SPIEM also intends to cooperate with other national and international institutions which share similar goals.
