The Board of Directors of the Portuguese Society for Research in Mathematics Education proposes to carry out the following activities during the period between December 2023 and November 2024:
- Preparation and implementation of EIEM2024 — International Meeting on Research in Mathematics Education
- Preparation for EIEM2025
- Continuation of the indexing process for EIEM minutes
- Continuation of the organization of Atlantic Webinars on research in mathematics education to strengthen dialogue between researchers through the dissemination of ongoing research
- Continuation of the partnership with the Spanish and Brazilian counterpart societies
- Collaboration with APM, in particular with Quadrante magazine
- Elaboração de pareceres sustentados na perspectiva da investigação no que respeita à formulação e avaliação Preparation of opinions based on research perspectives regarding the formulation and evaluation of educational policies
- Continuation of the regular publication of the Newsletter, SPIEM News
- Revitalization of the website and SPIEM's presence on social media
- Initiation of the creation of research networks through the SPIEM, SBEM, and SEIEM societies
- Initiation of collaborative networks with Portuguese-speaking African universities in the development of research in mathematics education
